Project

Establishment of computer and language training labs in educational institutions across the country. Under this project, Sheikh Russell Digital Labs are being set up in various educational institutions, including 65 language training labs.

The Sheikh Russell ICT Club has been formed around these labs to motivate the people at different levels, especially the youth, to use ICT. Language learning labs will work to remove the language barriers of the younger generation.

Aims and Objectives of the project:

1. Establishment of Sheikh Russell Digital Lab in various educational institutions across the country including language training labs with the aim of building a digital Bangladesh;
2. Making information and communication services accessible to millions of students across the country through established digital labs;
3. Building labs as local cyber hubs by creating internet connectivity opportunities in digital labs;
4. Expansion / availability of digital education and information services to create capacity and employment opportunities for students in the field of ICT.

Officials working at the head office, district and upazila level of the Department of Information and Communication Technology regularly visit the Sheikh Russell Digital Lab set up in various educational institutions.
